Hello everyone,

Here are the rest of the mini vacation pictures. As you can see, we thoroughly enjoyed our restaurant stops! Nick recommended the Moscow restaurant and Kristine recommended this one. The name of the restaurant is Fogo de Chão (pronounced: fo-go dèe shoun). It is a Brazilian churrascaria steakhouse and if you like meat, you will love it! We had planned on checking out a Brazilian churrascaria on our last trip to New York, but their locations didn't fit into our schedule. This restaurant won awards as one of the best new restaurants in the Twin Cities last year:

The award!

Kristine recommended this one, but Nick was able to check it out with us!

The salad bar was exceptional!

I absolutely loved the asparagus and the huge tomato slices!

More selections with condiments above.

The other side, with green beans, broccoli and lots of other things.

Thin sliced meat, some kind of fish and cheeses with more condiments above.

Our main waiter holding one of the many skewers of roasted meats that were brought to our table.

The side dishes that accompanied the meal: mashed potatoes, fried bananas, fried polenta and cheese puffs.

Bill with his meat menu open so he could keep track of which cut of meat he was eating!

We had a lot of fun and there was plenty of food for a vegetarian like me! There were 14 different cuts of meat, mostly beef, but also including chicken, lamb and pork. The different cuts of meat were prepared and then served directly to our table by the "Gaucho" chefs. The food was good, the service was excellent and it was great fun. I'm sure we'll be making a return visit at some point!

That mini vacation was fun and a great practice run for our New York trip in July. Before that, though, we have a very busy summer filled with weddings, new babies, class reunions and baseball games! Enjoy YOUR summer but don't get TOO busy! Remember to stay in the Word of God every day! Remember Proverbs 4:20-22:

20My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.
21Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.
22For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.

Stay in the Word; stay healthy; stay built up, recharged and ready to go! You'll be glad you did and so will those around you!

Shalom,

Robin
